The Vision Sports Board are delighted to announce the appointment of Finbarr Roche as our new Chairperson. Finbarr was elected to the post in an acting capacity. Full election to our Officer Board will be held in the autumn.

Finbarr’s daytime job is Head of Retail and Property at NCBI. He has also held a senior management role with Irish Guide Dogs so has vast knowledge and experience of working with vision impaired people.

Outgoing Chair Joe Geraghty stepped back recently to facilitate his candidature for our advertised National Sports Development Coordinator job.

Rahim Nazarali returns to the Board of Vision Sports. Rahim now works with the Department of Education. He has vast experience of sport for blind and vision impaired people as a Paralympic judo player and as administrator for over 20 years.

Ray McSweeney also joins the Board of Vision Sports. Ray is the ChildVision Board nominee and replaces Vincent Kenny who steps back to look after his very young family.

Congratulations Finbarr, Rahim and Ray. Thank you Joe and Vincent.
